Monday evening

Monday is finally over. It seems nothing gets accomplished on Monday. Still feeling as if there is so much to do and I am wading in mud trying to finish even one task. It is sometimes overwhelming. However, Christmas is coming! What a wonderful time of year. The tree will be up in the coming days with the presents under it. And I have lots of digital scrapping to get done. I can hardly believe tomorrow is December and a new year is just around the corner.

Family- A Digital Scrapbook

Wednesday Before Thanksgiving

I have been working on this blog since about 6 a.m. and it is now 11:22 a.m., I believe I finally have it acceptable, for now. It seems learning something new always takes so much time. There were so many other things I wanted to do this morning. But this blog was secretly calling me, almost to the point of being annoying. So, now I move on. More articles to write, Thanksgiving food to prepare, although there will be no dinner tomorrow. But it will wait till Husband is home.

Monday evening

Husband left today. It is always a sad day for me when he leaves. Don't know when he will get to come back and definitely not expecting him here for Thanksgiving. But there was good news today. Had a wonderful lunch and visit with my Mother and a dear friend from California. Friend has been missing from my life for about 20 years and by coincidence we managed to get in touch again this past October.
It was a good day, although there never seems to be enough time to really catch up. Remembering things, as little comments take us back to the past and trying to catch up on the events that have been missed is tiring, but good. So in all, it was a good day. Waiting now,  for Husband to call and say good night, then all will be well.

Morning

It is early, Husband is still sleeping so I am trying to be quiet. He got home about 2:30 a.m. this morning, parked his truck at the pantry down the road and walked home in the cold and dark. He called me when he got here so I would unlock the doors. When I asked him why he didn't have me come down the road to pick him up his response was he didn't want to make me get out in the cold because he knew I would not be able to go back to sleep. How wonderfully thoughtful.
These kinds of little things only reinforce my desire to concentrate on the little everyday blessings in life. There is no guarantee of perfection in our days, we make blessings out of  what we allow ourselves to see. We hold in our hands and our hearts the power to enrich our own life and pass small wonders and blessings on to those we touch every day. Concentrating on the have and not the have not in life adds to the enrichment of all. Make your day a blessing.

Wondering if I will ever get this blog thing figured out!

I have been trying for hours to figure this out, wow it is more complicated than I thought!
